Medical School Application Workshop

Our Medical School Application Workshop taught us important tips when applying to medical schools:

• Start preparing for applying early: write personal statement starting in February and ask for letters of recommendation 2-3 months prior to applications opening
• Do not neglect clinical and non-clinical volunteering and employment hours and start accumulating experiences you are passionate about early on in your undergraduate years.
• Apply to a broad school list with a safety, match, and reach criteria in mind. Apply mission-focused and be able to articulate your reasons for applying to a specific school. 
• Ideally, study between 3-6 months for MCAT to avoid burnout and forgetting the key concepts. Practice material such as UWORLD and AAMC material are your best friends!
